  • Steering code C0545-Steering wheel torque input sensor After further diagnosis tech found steering wheel torque input sensor is bad. Tech recommends to start by replacing steering wheel torque input sensor then rechecking for any additional concerns.
  • Tech does recommend both front lower control arms be replaced. Vehicle also needs 2 tires.
  • Tech found nail in right rear tire, tech removed nail and plugged tire as needed.
  • Tech mounted and balance right front tire and rotated both left side tires. Informed customer to get another tire on vehicle and align vehicle as soon as possible.
  • Tech replaced both lower control arms on vehicle. Due to spare tire being on vehicle and not having 2 good tires. Tech is unable to complete the alignment on vehicle. Tech recommends to replace 2 tires on vehicle so we can get spare of vehicle to be able to perform alignment. Customer brought in tire for us to mount and balance. Still need to get left front tire replaced due to it being bald. Customer is going to get another tire from another location. Vehicle still needs an alignment. (customer supplied part, informed customer we are unable to pass of a parts and labor warranty on this repair)
  • Tech replaced power steering whee input torque sensor as needed. and re-calibrated system. (customer supplied part, informed customer we are unable to pass of a parts and labor warranty on this repair)

  • Test drove and we did not duplicate any brake noise. Inspected brakes and found there is about 40% pad life on both axles. Rotors look ok at this time. If vehicle is sitting quite a bit, the noise could be from build-up on the brake surfaces. May need to go for drive with customers to hear noise.

  • Inspection found vehicle had codes 315C, 3130 and 3110, vehicle was also misfiring. Those codes were for misfires on cylinders1, 3 and 5. Replaced coils on those three cylinders. Vehicle is running fine now and no longer misfiring. Codes and lights are gone now. Still two remaining coils that we did not replace since they are not setting codes.

  • Found the passenger side washer nozzle was broken. Noticed blue washer fluid all over the engine and then saw the nozzle. Replaced washer nozzle on passenger side and washer nozzle are working the way they should now.
  • Inspection found the valve cover leaking oil. Plugs and coils were soaked in oil. There was enough oil in the spark plug wells you could not see the spark plugs. Recommended replacing valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, coils and cleaning out all the oil.
  • Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Road test vehicle.
  • Replaced plugs, coils, valve cover gasket and cleaned oil out of plug wells. Cleaned up old oil at car wash as well.
  • Vehicle has an ignition issue most likely. Car will start as long as you press inward on the ignition while turning the key. To determine the issue we would need to further diagnose, which could include taking apart ignition components/steering column.
